This is Alexa Vititoe. She is a Junior at Bullitt East High School and is the website editor for Livewire. This is her second year on Livewire. In her free time, she enjoys playing the guitar, drumming, and playing softball. She is part of the New Voices program, Quill and Scroll, and NHS. She coaches youth Flag Football for the MWFCA and is Work Ethic certified.

Freshman Honors and Regular Algebra I teacher, Steven Phillips, puts together a new chair as he prepares for the new school year. He looks forward to another year of growth, despite all the various changes. “I can make people laugh, I can make them happy, but I want to be able to make them the best math students they can possibly be,” he said. “It’s cool to make kids be engaged in math, but are they remembering it? It’s important to make sure I’m helping them remember as much as possible instead of that week, month, or unit.”
