This year, the archers are playing in honor of their late coach Reid Cornell, who passed away this past June. Their jerseys were made including his name on the sleeve to honor his memory this season. "I know he is with me in spirit and I continue to strive to grow for him," Greenwell said.

The cheer team had their Louisville Invitational Tournament (LIT) competition at Valley Traditional High School on Jan. 22. “The girls and I have been working extremely hard to stay consistent with our stunts and tumbling, this close to leaving (for Nationals). That's really the most we can do,” Scott said.

The girls have practiced hard all season and are continuing to improve with every step and every fall. “Just getting out there and making a name for the team is motivation…the team isn't very represented so I think it's nice to make a good name for the team and show people what we do, that's motivating,” senior dancer Katelyn Powers said.
