Bullitt Cup Success
Two for two.
The boys soccer team went two for two in the Bullitt Cup Tournament this past weekend.
Saturday, Aug. 15, the boys soccer team competed in the Bullitt Cup Tournament against Bullitt Central and North Bullitt. They won against Bullitt Central with a score of 5-1. They then won against North Bullitt with a score of 10-0.
The boys season started out with a few losses and a few wins, but they are already seeing improvement, in players’ opinions. “We improved from our past games this year. I think I can speak for all the guys when I say that we’ll never be satisfied with our improvement, we can always get better. We are a hungry team and we have something to prove to ourselves this year,” junior Ethan Davis said. Davis is looking forward to great things this season, and is ready to do whatever it takes to get there.
After the losses in the start of the season, the boys needed the win. “I feel the tournament went as well as it could’ve went. Going into the matches this morning we needed a win, and we got two.” said Davis. The tournament definitely gave the boys the confidence boost they needed, and they are now ready for more wins.
