Swim Season Preview

Swimming into the 2019-2020 season.

The swim team has been working hard to prepare for the upcoming season.

Coming into the new season, the team looks forward to having more of a team environment. Swimmers have to be very committed to the sport due to the fact that they practice so far away. The team has been practicing three times a week in order to become competitive.

Senior Kaylee Fain is excited about the upcoming season and looks forward to the building and improvement of the team on all levels. “Last year we weren’t really together as a team, we were more separated into groups so that’s one of the big things we’re working on this year,” said Fain. Fain began swimming last season and has since been named a captain for her senior season.

Due to the fact that there are more swimmers on the team this year, Fain is very eager for regionals. “I feel like we can do a lot better than we did last year,” said Fain.

Fain says that the team works very hard and considers their work ethic to be one of their biggest strengths. The team is very young this year, consisting of many middle schoolers and underclassmen. Because of this, Fain thinks that they need to work on attention span and being able to listen attentively at practices.
