Charger nation is ready for the annual Greek Games on May 3.

The Greek Games is making its way up the calendar.

On May 3, Bullitt East is hosting the annual Greek Games.

A house day was scheduled on Wed. April 11. Students tend to like house days more, now that they’re scheduled more often. Many are looking forward to the Greek Games.

The Greek Games is a very fun event that brings joy and excitement to Charger Nation. This event holds many races and different sorts or competition. For example, there will be football toss, limbo, egg relay, 3 legged race, tug-o-war and many more.

This year the teams consists of the grade levels. The freshman house is thorahauntis, the sophomore house is spero, the junior house is pisti and the senior house is fortis. Students wanting to be involved in the events will sign up for the event of their choice.

There is some events where the students will go against the teachers. For instance, most students’ favorite, tug-o-war.

Races and competitions aren’t the only fun things that happen on this day. Students and even teachers can dress in a toga. Whether it is homemade or store bought, students will rock out their outfit and compete in races.

The Greek Games allows students to get involved with the school and get out of their comfort zone by joining these races or cheering on their classmates. “It is fun to compete against different grade levels. It is fun to work together to try and achieve victory,” said sophomore Catie Bacon.

Hopefully more students will get involved and participate in these school events.
