All-Star Replacements
Dropping like flies.
With all-stars getting injured left and right, the NBA needs to find replacements for them. So far Kevin Love, John Wall, and Demarcus Cousins have been injured and will be out for the game.
Commissioner Adam Silver will pick the replacements to fill the spots. He will need one from the West and one from the East.
The first victim of the injury was Demarcus Cousins against the Houston Rockets. It was an Achilles injury to his left leg. He will miss the rest of the season for the Pelicans. To try to make up for the loss, they signed Nikola Mirotic. Cousins was averaging 25.2 points per game for his team. Cousins would then be replaced by Oklahoma City Thunder guard Paul George who is averaging 21.3 points per game and will join team LeBron. All three players injured were on team LeBron.
The next injury for Lebron and his team would be John Wall who suffered a knee injury that will require surgery and will be out six to eight weeks. Wall averaged 19.4 points per game and 9.3 assists per game. Wall would be replaced by Deandre Drummond who is averaging 14.8 points per game and 15.3 rebounds per game. An obvious monster on the glass for the Detroit Pistons. It will be a good accusation for LeBron and the rest of the squad.
The third injury for LeBron and his team was his Cavaliers teammate Kevin Love. This would have been Love’s fifth all-star game. He suffered a hand injury that will put him out six to eight weeks. Love was averaging 17.9 points per game for the Cavs along with 9.4 rebounds per game. Love will be replaced by Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic. Dragic is averaging 17 points per game and this will be his first ever all-star game and the only Heat player in it. Team LeBron will have to choose someone to start for them since Cousins is out. Hopefully, they can catch a break and go injury free through the all-star game.
