The Last Run of the Season
The last run of the season is a good one.
Making it to state, members of the XC team work for their best times of the season.
On Saturday Nov. 4, the East cross-country team traveled to Lexington, Kentucky to run in the KHSAA State meet held at the New Horse Park. The Class AAA girls began their run starting 1:30 p.m. followed by the Class AAA boys who started at 2:15 p.m. Gates for spectators opened at 8 a.m.

Most of the team came to this meet, if not to run, to cheer on their fellow teammates. “I enjoyed being on the team this year watching the team improve as a whole. For the future, I am just going to go hard at track, track season is going to start here soon and I really hope to break some records. For the next cross-country season, were going to have a lot more good people coming up from middle school, and were hoping that we’re going to have a great team, and really make a statement here at state,” said Wetzel.
