Preparing for the ACT
It’s a test that determines one’s future.
The ACT is a test taken by high schoolers and students alike all across the United States. This test is well known for its difficulty and need for time management, both of which are big obstacles that many high schoolers must come across.
Since colleges look at these scores when accepting new students, it is vital to do one’s best when taking this test. For that reason, preparation is a must when it comes to taking the ACT. Luckily for Bullitt East students, there is now an after-school ACT preparation workshop.
This workshop will be taking place every Wednesday and Thursday after school in the library from 2:15 to 4 p.m. This afterschool program will be taught by AP English teacher Leo Craven, his is focus will be on English and reading. Kristy Tinelli AP statistics and pre-calculus teacher will also be teaching a workshop focusing on math. During this workshop, the students will be shown how to effectively manage their time and demonstrate some of the best strategies to keep in mind when taking this test.
The next ACT available for students to take will be on Oct. 28. Last one if the year will be held on Dec. 9.
