Call It an Improvement

You could say there’s always a good in something.

Bullitt East fell to 0-2 on the season against Central Hardin on Friday, losing 44-10.

Even though it was a loss, they did improve upon last week’s dreadful performance against Butler. They finally cracked the scoreboard when newcomer to the team, #5 Zak Perdew nailed his first high school field goal attempt right through the uprights.

They finished the game with 10 points, when Hunter Perdue ran it into the end zone. The defense still didn’t live up to their expectations, but they did do better against Central Hardin than they did Butler, only giving up 44 points.

“Getting that feeling of providing for the team and getting the first points for the team is a great feeling, and that being my first high school points feels good” said Sophomore kicker Zak Perdew.

The Chargers will look to get a notch in the win column when they travel to Spencer County for a Thursday Night game on August 31.
