The Cavs and Warriors Are Ruining the NBA
The NBA domination era has come back from the grave.
From the start of the NBA until 1970, the Lakers and Celtics went back and forth winning NBA finals. That didn’t happen again until now.
For the first time in NBA history, two teams have gone 8-0 in the playoffs. But this is not really a surprise to anyone. Fora few years now the Cavaliers and Warriors have been taking over the NBA. One team getting the best record ever and the other beating them in the finals. That’s basically how it’s gone for a while now, and this year, nothing has changed.
The Cavs started out the playoffs defeating the Indiana Pacers easy in four games. Meanwhile on the other side, the Warriors were handling the Trail Blazers in four with ease. It was not a fair matchup for either team. Already off to great starts, both teams had all the tempo for the next series.
On to the next round. The Cavs played the Raptors in a series that had a lot of potential. Due to playoff Lebron James being god, that “potential” didn’t stop them a bit. The Cavs beat the Raptors in four games probably easier than the Pacers. After the series Raptors shooting guard Demar Derozan said, “If we had Lebron on our team, we would have won.” The Warriors on the other hand were playing the Utah Jazz in the west. Honestly the Jazz are the worst five seed I’ve ever seen. The Warriors had no problem beating them and took the series in four.
I predict that the Warriors will go on to play the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals and that may actually be an interesting series. Even though the Grizzlies took the Spurs to game seven in the first round, I just think that the Spurs have the right weapons to take down the Warriors. The Warriors will most likely win in seven games though and advance to the finals.
The Cavs will most likely go on to play the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics are not near good enough to handle playoff Lebron James. They simply just don’t have a player at his position that can stop him. The Cavs will take this one in five games. They will play the Warriors in the final for the second year in a row.
With this major finals rivalry for back to back years, the Warriors will take this one in seven. While Lebron is Lebron, the Warriors have a weapon to stop him this year. Kevin Durant. There is no way that the Warriors will lose them again. Unfortunately for every other NBA team, they just have to sit back and watch for the second year in a row and it probably won’t be the last time this happens. The Cavs and Warriors are bringing back the Celtics and Lakers rivalry and people are not happy about it.
