Pushing Through

Down in the Ditch

The Lady Chargers volleyball team has found themselves in a funk, and they’re struggling to get out of it.

The girls feel this past week went good, but they know they could make some improvements. This week should overall be a good one for the team. The Lady Chargers still need to work to improve, and hopefully come out with more wins.

Senior Makayla O’Brien said, “This week was especially great in my eyes because we played some very difficult teams that are ranked way higher than us, but we still managed to pull through and play as a team.” On the other hand some of the girls feel this past week could have gone a lot better. They believe they shouldn’t have lost the games they did, and in order to start winning they definitely need to prepare for the upcoming games.

The Lady Chargers feel their attitudes are something they really need to work on when they are on the court. “We have to let up on controlling emotions of the  court. We lash out at each other over little things. We need to just release the tensions and play our game,” said senior Savannah Glass. The Lady Chargers believe they just need to take a deep breath and have some fun on the court.

The team feels the rest of the week will go pretty well. They had a talk about together as a team on how they can improve on the court, and they feel that has helped motivate them to do better. They have a district game coming up against Jeffersontown. They have realized their time together is limited and believe they will begin to start giving it their all. The team expects to play hard and pull out some wins.
