The Bullitt East ecosystem is changing.
Kara Cox is one of the new science teachers at Bullitt East.
This will be Cox’s seventh year teaching. She is very excited to teach her first year as a high school teacher. Cox looks forward to getting to know students through their whole high school experience.
She spent five years teaching middle school in Louisville. Last year she taught seventh and eighth grade at Bullitt Lick Middle School.
Cox is very excited to get involved in some of the extracurriculars around campus. “I look forward to going to games to cheer on students,” Cox said. She knows that the students and adults at Bullitt East care a lot about their school and that’s what makes this school a great place to her.
She enjoyed teaching eighth grade. Cox thinks she will have so much fun teaching freshmen. “ I love being able to see how students mature and become better people through the year,” Cox said.
Cox is super excited to teach her because she’s never worked at a school where all the adults in the building were this excited to be at work. She thinks this is truly a wonderful place to be both for adults and students.
“I look forward to seeing how my freshmen grow and change,” Cox said.
