Track saw their first two weeks of the season from April 5 to today, April 23, here are some of the most memorable takeaways:
The team had met on the 9th and 11th and trained on both days to prepare for the first large event that took place.
The largest competition of the past two weeks took place in North Oldham between April 15 and April 16, with Bullitt East having at least one player competing in Boys 100m, Girls 100m, Girls 100m Hurdles, Boys 110m Hurdles, Boys 800m, Girls 80m, Boys 1600m, Girls 600m, Boys Long Jump, Girls Long Jump, Boys Shot Put, Girls Shot Put, and Girls Triple Jump.
Notable players who placed the highest in our team in each category are Brayden Carey who placed 18th in the Boys 100 Meter run, Luke Smith who got 12th in the Boys 1600 Meter, and Savannah Derringer who got 22nd in the Girls 1600 Meter run.
The team overall had no top 5 placements in any of the major categories, and Bullitt East placed 7th out of the 9 schools that competed.
