12.8.14 The Final Schedule
Every year around this time, students at Bullitt East start preparing to take their final exams for the semester.
In the years past, East’s exam dates are always the week before Christmas break; the last three days of the week to be exact. Students cram all the studying in they can before taking the test that’s twenty percent of their grade. Students usually receive one whole class period to complete their test. This year the school faculty voted to give students two periods to complete it.
“It could help kids if they take advantage of it. If they do finish a final early, they can use that time to prepare for other finals they have to take. The kids who prepare themselves well are going to benefit from it,” said Amy Harrod, a chemistry teacher at East. Many teachers share the same opinion and hope this will be a very beneficial decision.
