Strike!

The Bullitt East bowling teams are kicking their season off to a start.

On November 4th, East took on Bullitt Central at Fern Bowl.  The girls won 6-1, winning all four regular games and one of the two baker games.  The boys suffered a loss, but have high hopes for improvement.

The team’s second match took place at Ken Bowl against North Bullitt.  The boys suffered another loss (4-2).  They won two regular games, but lost the other two regular games along with both baker games.  The girls, though, gained another win.  The girls had a shutout, winning 6-0 (all four regular games and both baker games).

Coach Becky Todd hopes that practice will improve the results.  The boys captain, Austin Sanford, said, “So many [people] are just starting, we just need to figure out what bowling’s about.”

Kyra Banta, girls captain, is very excited about the start of the girls season.

The bowling team’s next match takes place on December 4th, against Southern at Fern Bowl.
